Our Statement on Animal Testing

Our passion

Simply nature and wildlife and leaving our little part in a better place, this includes protecting and growing the most important species on the planet, the honey bee, and growing the number of native British Bees which are in decline.  We work hard to care for our colonies, particularly during the winter, wrapping their hives in sheep's wool and feeding them where supplies are low so they remain strong and healthy.  We operate ethically and kindly as a small bee farm, take excess where it exists and selling it to grow our farm, our processes are cruelty free and protect this valuable resource.

Our honey

Our apiaries are based in the Fens, Foothills and Wolds in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Lincolnshire Wolds.  We specify which area our honey is from in our listings and share tasting notes so you have an idea of what that season tastes like.  We try wherever possible to share what our bees are foraging in so you know where our honey is from.

Our beauty products

Animal testing is a key concern for us as consumers as well as makers of artisan products.  Our bath and beauty products are safety assessed by a UK chemist as required by the UK Cosmetics Standards and are not tested in anyway on animals during the manufacturing process.   Our raw materials come from companies that are not involved in the use of, or commission the use of, animals for testing and have no plans to do so in the future.  We will not sell in any country that requires any cosmetic products to be tested on animals.

Our products are made in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds using natural beeswax, honey, pollen and propolis from our hives based on our 'small' holding in a small village called Swaby in the Lincolnshire Wolds surrounded by nature and our rescued greyhounds and chickens.  We combine these natural products with carefully selected cosmetic ingredients in our independent and purpose built soap kitchen where we create our products and a large log cabin for storage and supply facilities.  We are a family run business and create our products with natural ingredients and fine fragrances and essential oils with as little impact on the nature around us, from our heart to your home.  Both personally and professionally we live our lives in a sustainable way, our home and business is powered by solar panels and we life and work protecting animals and all of nature, reducing our dependence in planet harming gases and products and using recyclable materials for our packaging.
