Keep well clear of curtains, flammable materials, walls and shelves overhead.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eBurn in a well-ventilated room, away from draughts, fans and open windows. Never leave a burning candle unattended; keep away from children and pets.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf the flame flickers strongly, smokes or leaves soot, extinguish it and let the wax cool. Trim the wick to 5mm and move away from draughts before relighting. Stop using it if smoking continues.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDark marks or “ghosting” on nearby walls or ceilings can be soot deposits. Stop burning in that location and check placement and ventilation. Follow the surface manufacturer’s cleaning advice; do not assume marks will wipe away.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLet the candle and holder cool completely before handling.
