Why Swabees

Hand-poured using beeswax from our own Lincolnshire hives. Each candle is a small-batch piece, not a factory product, bringing a little of our apiary to your festive home.

Candle care

• Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn and remove loose wick debris from the wax.
• Place upright on a stable, level surface in a suitable heat-resistant holder or dish to catch wax drips and protect furniture. Keep well clear of curtains, flammable materials, walls and shelves overhead.
• Burn in a well-ventilated room, away from draughts, fans and open windows. Never leave a burning candle unattended; keep away from children and pets.
• If the flame flickers strongly, smokes or leaves soot, extinguish it and let the wax cool. Trim the wick to 5mm and move away from draughts before relighting. Stop using it if smoking continues.
• Dark marks or “ghosting” on nearby walls or ceilings can be soot deposits. Stop burning in that location and check placement and ventilation. Follow the surface manufacturer’s cleaning advice; do not assume marks will wipe away.
• Let the candle and holder cool completely before handling. Do not force a full edge-to-edge wax pool on this sculpted tree candle, as its shape may drip unevenly.
