Handmade in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, this bar brings together raw honey, propolis, shea butter and cocoa butter in a cold-process soap. It’s a little piece of our family business, made with care and ready to enjoy at home.
A story that begins with our bees
The honey in our soap comes from our own home apiary. Our bees live in our fruit and nut orchard, surrounded by blossom trees, bee-friendly planting and the wider Wolds landscape.
That connection matters to us. Honey isn’t simply an ingredient we buy in: it’s part of the life of our smallholding and the work we do as a family.
Using it in our soap gives us another way to share something from our hives, beyond the breakfast table.
Why honey and propolis?
Honey is valued in skincare formulations as a humectant, an ingredient that helps attract moisture. In our bar, it sits alongside a blend of oils and butters chosen for everyday cleansing.
Propolis is a bee-derived resin. Less familiar than honey or beeswax, it offers another connection to the hive and is a distinctive part of this soap’s recipe.
Together, honey and propolis help tell the story behind the bar. This is a cleansing product, not a treatment for skin conditions, and we prefer to let its ingredients and handmade character speak for themselves.
Made with shea butter and cocoa butter
Our recipe also includes shea butter and cocoa butter, alongside olive oil, coconut oil and castor oil.
Shea butter and cocoa butter are valued as emollient ingredients. They contribute to the character of the finished bar and complement the honey and propolis in a thoughtfully crafted blend.
The result is a soap made for a simple, everyday ritual: lather, wash and rinse.
Handmade, one slice at a time
We make our Honey and Propolis Cleansing Body Bar using the cold-process method in our purpose-built soap kitchen on our Lincolnshire smallholding.
Each slice is hand-cut from the loaf, so no two bars are exactly alike. Those small differences are part of the charm of a genuinely handmade product.
Behind every bar is our family-run business, surrounded by bees, chickens, rescued greyhounds and the countryside that inspires us.
Getting the most from your bar
Work the soap into a lather with water, cleanse your skin and rinse thoroughly. Between uses, leave it on a draining soap dish so it can dry rather than sit in water.
The bar is for external use only. Check the ingredients before use if you have known sensitivities, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
